What is the purpose of online mastering ?
Online mastering finalises a stereo mix: it evens out volume, tonal balance and dynamics so your track sounds consistent across streaming platforms, radio and everyday speakers. With Mastelio, you can listen to a preview and compare versions before approving.
What should I send?
A stereo file from your final mix, preferably WAV, with no limiter or added compression on the master output. Leave some headroom: online mastering works better on a mix that breathes.
Mastering or mixing: which should you start with?
Always start with mixing. Mastering applies to the finished mix; if there’s still an imbalance between the vocal and the instrumental, revisit the mix first with Mixnov. The page Audio mastering on Wikipedia details the stages of the craft.
How much does Mastelio online mastering cost?
Mastelio is charged per unit (from €6.90 incl. VAT) or as a pack. The exact price is confirmed in the app before payment. With Beathoven Studio, a final master is included in each period.
Can I keep my original file?
Yes. Mastelio never replaces your original file: each version remains distinct, and you choose which one to publish.
