MONØLO

'H14' opens ODR Dark's catalogue, the new techno branch of the label Other Dimension Records: a hypnotic, raw and evolving track driven by analogue textures, repetition and tension. Rather than aiming for a build-up or a drop, the piece starts from a simple synth motif and transforms it step by step through rhythm, reverb and space.

MONØLO is the work of Samuel Lachaud, a Paris-based composer and sound designer, a conservatoire-trained pianist and agrégé music teacher. He discovered production in the mid-90s on an Amiga tracker, before exploring composition, sound design and video games.

MONØLO brings these experiences together: piano virtuosity, improvisational freedom and the pulse of techno, with the ambition to bring the project to the stage, combining generative visuals and narrative.
