PANZERNumber Eight, episodic rap

One minute thirty-three, not a second more. Portrait of an independent rapper who writes his music like a series.

With 'PANZER', Numero Huit delivers a direct track, driven by heavy trap and a flow that attacks every beat. No lingering intro, no chorus that dilutes things: the energy is set from the first bar and never lets up. But the track makes full sense when placed within what the artist has been building for two years: a work conceived as a series, with episodes, chapters and its own territory.

The artistA rapper who writes his music like a series

An independent rapper, Numero Huit writes in French over trap productions and adopts a storytelling approach. Each track tells a moment, each release fits into a larger whole. His singles carry episode numbers, his projects progress by chapters, and the listener is invited to follow the story in order.

Everything converges on a single place: le Huitième, a universe he brands KING VIII. He also brings into being a double, Numba Eight, which he presents as his 'evil twin'. It's a way to give two voices to the same trajectory and to let the darkness express itself without it taking over entirely.

'Determination doesn't promise an easy road, it promises you'll go all the way.'Number Eight

The track'PANZER', foundational track

'PANZER' is the fifth of the seven tracks on DEPUIS J'SUIS SØRTI Vol.1, released in October 2024. Its cover sets the scene plainly: a battlefield beneath a black sky, tanks in the background, and the artist reaching his hand toward the lens. The track doesn't narrate a war; it adopts the stance of one: moving forward, no turning back.

The short format is a deliberate choice. One minute thirty-three is the length of a burst: easy to place in playlists, in radio rotation or in short-form video. The voice, slightly saturated, locks onto the rhythm to the point of becoming a percussion element in its own right, giving the track that raw grain that fits its title.

The sagaFrom Vol.1 to Vol.2, a story in chapters

Since the first volume, Numero Huit has kept releasing. Between the two chapters, the episodes followed one another, each adding another piece to the Eighth.

  1. Chapter 1 · October 2024Depuis j'suis sørti Vol.1Seven tracks to establish the artist's world, including 'PANZER'.
  2. Interlude · 2025 – 2026The episodesNumbered singles, collaborations, and increasingly focused songwriting. J'veux pas rester seul · ep. IIAprès MinuitHors-Ligne feat. N2V Yama & 13karraFORGÉDans ma peau · ep. V
  3. Chapter 2Depuis j'suis sørti Vol.2A second chapter the artist presents as written despite the obstacles, betrayals, conflicts and heartbreak. It opens what he calls the 'season of mixtapes'.

It's also the best moment to return to the first chapter. 'PANZER' remains one of its foundations, and the track is listened to differently when you know where the rest is headed.

In the pressWhat the scene says

In summer 2026, Xtra Rap ran a profile by Cloutfly focused on how he transforms his lived experience into artistic material. In a second interview he explains that authenticity, emotion and intent guide each of his projects, and that every release must show progression.

In autumn 2026, 'PANZER' was presented to around fifty media outlets, radio stations and curators. Feedback mainly praised the weight of the production and the energy of the flow. The track was added to several rap playlists, including 'La Source' on Cult'ur 63, and was selected for rotation on the IAPDB show on Radio Méga.
